A Gambian legacy

Mariama Bom Sowe has played an important coaching role in Gambian women’s football. Her work included the national under-17 generation associated with the 2012 World Cup. Appointed senior women’s head coach in 2017, she later guided The Gambia to WAFU-A bronze in 2023.
